Philanthropy Events

Philanthropy Events
Here at Boston University we hold two fabulous philanthropy events a year: Anchor Splash in the spring, and Project Delta Glam in the fall. All of which encourage campus-wide participation and maximum awareness for Service for Sight through enjoyable activities. All proceeds from both events go directly to the Delta Gamma Foundation to benefit not only Service for Sight, but also to help fund scholarships, loans and grants to those sisters and members of the community in need.

Anchor Splash®
Our spring philanthropy event, Anchor Splash is a day full of pool games, relays, raffles and more. Members of the BU community create teams of 8 and compete to win the honorable title of Anchor Splash champion. The event includes competitive swimming races, the much anticipated Anchor Man walk off, and door prizes for clothing and gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses. It is truly an entertaining way to spend your Saturday afternoon, whether you’re in the pool or cheering from the bleachers.

Project Delta Glam
Started by Zeta Zeta alumni Chelsea Alexander (BU ’10) in 2008, this fall event is fashion for a cause. Volunteers from different organizations around campus model outfits and accessories donated by local Boston stores, for an evening of music, style and good company. For those who may be a little stage fright, never fear, tables and runway seats are available to show your support for the cause without the bright lights.
